As we grow, we are seeking a Collaborating Physician to support our licensed Nurse Practitioners in providing safe and compliant care under California regulations.
Position Overview:
The Collaborating Physician will offer oversight and clinical support to Nurse Practitioners in accordance with California law. This is a low-commitment, fully remote opportunity ideal for a physician looking to contribute to innovative healthcare models while maintaining schedule flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the collaborating physician for one or more California-licensed Nurse Practitioners
• Review and sign NP documentation as required by state law
• Be available for consultation via phone or video as needed
• Ensure adherence to the collaborative agreement and regulatory compliance
• Participate in periodic collaborative meetings (quarterly or biannual)
Qualifications:
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of California
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obesity Medicine or related specialty
• Prior experience collaborating with NPs is preferred but not required
• Comfortable using electronic health platforms
• Strong communication and organizational skills
