Schedule: Flexible | Estimated [4-8] hours per month
About the Practice
We are a growing outpatient mental health practice focused on providing high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric care across the lifespan. Our team values collaboration, responsiveness, and evidence-based treatment. We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist to serve as a collaborating and consulting physician for our psychiatric nurse practitioner(s).
Role Overview
This position serves as a collaborating and consulting psychiatrist in accordance with state regulations. The psychiatrist will provide clinical oversight, case consultation, and chart review support. This is a low-burden, flexible role ideal for a psychiatrist seeking supplemental income with minimal administrative responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as collaborating physician for psychiatric nurse practitioner(s)
• Provide case consultation as needed (phone/video/email)
• Review and sign collaborative practice agreement and required documentation
• Complete periodic chart reviews per state guidelines
• Be available for clinical questions and treatment consultation
• Participate in occasional case review meetings (virtual acceptable)
Qualifications
• MD or DO with completion of accredited psychiatry residency
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
• Active, unrestricted medical license in Ohio
• Current Ohio DEA registration
• Experience in outpatient psychiatry preferred
• Collaborative and supportive approach to team-based care
Compensation
• Monthly stipend or hourly consulting rate (negotiable based on availability and responsibilities)
• Flexible arrangement based on regulatory requirements and practice needs
Support Provided
• All administrative coordination handled by the practice
• Structured chart review process
• Clearly defined collaboration expectations
• Minimal time commitment with flexible scheduling
