OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a CNC Operator I who will operate both manual and CNC machines according to program and product specifications to produce small to medium sized components as either as a finished product or as part of another larger product to be assembled.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ā¢ Operates manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes
ā¢ Positions parts in specified locations using a variety of fastening devices
ā¢ Operates hand-held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic tools
ā¢ Operates lift equipment as needed
ā¢ Uses precision measuring tools as required
ā¢ Ability to recognize various material types used in department and adjust equipment if needed
ā¢ Ability to recognize worn tooling and change in machine as required
ā¢ Verifies accuracy of completed product or batch inspections
ā¢ Reports defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or completed products that are not in compliance with company and/or customer specifications to the Department Lead
ā¢ Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
ā¢ Completes all necessary paperwork as required, including in process or carbon copy production sheets

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
ā¢ Basic understanding of machining principles and CNC machine operations
ā¢ Mechanical aptitude and a strong interest in CNC machining
ā¢ Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
ā¢ Basic computer skills for machine operation and data entry
ā¢ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly
ā¢ Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
ā¢ Availability to work flexible hours, including evening and weekend shifts as required
ā¢ Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment
ā¢ Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
