Responsibilities and Duties
Performs personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living which include (but are not limited to):
ย Performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom
ย Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
ย Accompanying client on errands or medical appointments
ย Eating
ย Dressing/Shaving
Performs client-specific tasks. These could include (but are not limited to):
ย Medication reminders
ย Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
ย Preparing special diets
ย Dementia care
ย Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
ย High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
ย 6-month of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or 6 months experience as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare preferred
ย 1-3 years of experience as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide in healthcare (in homes or facilities)
ย Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
ย Possess a valid driverยs license and current automobile insurance preferred
ย Pass a background check
ย CNA or HHA license is preferred
