About the position Responsibilities • Support the plan of care as delegated by staff nurse within scope of skills verification. • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the patient care area. • Provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the ages of patients served. • Communicate patient care needs effectively with patients, families, and other staff members, including multi-disciplinary teams. • Complete documentation of patient related tasks. • Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy and communication style. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements • Current Louisiana Certification as a Nurses' Assistant (CNA) • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association to be obtained within 30 days from hire • Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification to be obtained within 30 days from hire • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Ability to work a flexible work schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability) Nice-to-haves • High School diploma or equivalent • Hospital and telemetry experience Benefits • Equal Opportunity Employer • Commitment to diversity and inclusion • Accessibility accommodations for applicants Apply tot his job
