Our employees use their creativity and talent to invent new solutions, meet demands, and offer the most effective services available in our industry.Baton Rouge Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)!Available shifts: 6a-2p or 2p-10pCommCare Corporation invites you to become a part of an innovative team and one of the fastest-growing Retirement Living and Hospice Companies that spans across Louisiana and Mississippi with over 2,000 healthcare professionals!CommCare Corporation' s mission is to be an innovative leader in the development and delivery of quality health care services, and to be committed to a learning environment that attracts and develops dedicated care givers.Essential ResponsibilitiesPlan and execute the needs of assigned resident group with daily living and dining needs.Makes rounds on assigned group noting significant issues for intervention.Provides intervention as needed to provide a safe clean environment.Checks all residents daily for condition of skin, reporting findings to Licensed Staff assigned to unit.Assists Licensed Staff when needed to position residents in need of treatment.Takes and records vital parameters as assigned. Assists with weekly and monthly weights as assigned.Records information on the electronic health record.Provides laundry care, housekeeping, and dining needs including assisting with activities.Performs any other tasks as assigned by the Licensed Staff, Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing.RequirementsQualificationsThe CNA must hold a valid nurse aide certification with the State of Louisiana and possess the following skills:Ability to organize, plan and supervise care of residents.Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.Ability to demonstrate good emotional, mental, and physical health having sound judgment and high standards.Ability and willingness to provide emergency care as needed for any resident in the facility.Ability and willingness to function as a cooperative team member with each member of the nursing department and other departments.Ability to provide related bedside resident care services as per facility policy and procedures.Ability to adapt to on-the-job training and adhere to standards of the facility providing personal care services, assisting residents, handling, and caring for equipment and supplies and developing good understanding of basis of aseptic and sterile techniques.Other QualificationsHas not been excluded from participating in Medicare and Medicaid programs.Maintains eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs throughout employment.Participate in pre-employment and annual Tuberculosis screening.We are committed to giving our employees only the very best, providing not only competitive salaries and wages, but a comprehensive benefits package."All offers of employment are subject to the completion of a satisfactory background check and reference check and eligibility for the participation in Medicare and Medicaid programs."CommCare Corporation is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative Action EmployerCC102
