About the roleThe Certified Medical Assistant Team Lead will be responsible with assisting our Medical Assistants with their questions and concerns while providing solutions. You will serve as a liaison between our Medical Assistant and the Direct Supervisor, so professionalism and expert supervisor skills are a must. ResponsibilitiesServe as the first point of contact for escalations for the MA team membersProvide backup support for the MA team, which includes all functions of a Medical AssistantAssist in the supervision of work and performance of clinic staff including Medical Assistants and other support staff, as instructed, including input for performance reviews and corrective action plans Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications, etc.Guide care delivery and ensure patient flow within the siteSchedule patient appointments and maintain communication to confirm future appointmentsDocument patient medical information and intake formsEnsure all related reports, labs, and information are completed and available in the patient's chart prior to their appointment Perform data entry tasks to document patient records within the database and maintain patient charts Answer and respond to patient questions and concerns in a timely mannerRecord vital signs Correspond with customer service representatives regarding patient questionsOversee and train new and existing staff alongside the Clinical Director Answer messages and tasks in a timely manner; refilling prescriptions when ordered by physiciansMaintain a safe, secure, and a healthy work environment Assist with New Hire Training/Interviewing Create monthly work schedules for MAs and MSRsRequirementsBasic Qualifications:Current CMA/RMA certification2+ years of experience as a CMA/RMAAbility to work rotating schedule, including nights and weekendsProfessional experience working with EMRs, Word, Excel, and OutlookExperience working in a medical office and knowledge of medical terminology Excellent computer skills and tech-savviness Preferred Qualifications: Team Lead/Supervisor experience Bilingual in English and SpanishExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on phone etiquette Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment High level of professionalism Attention to detail with exceptional organizational skillsDesire to serve and protect the company by adhering to professional standards, company policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local requirementsEagerness to demonstrate initiative and ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, while exploring opportunities that add value to the roleBenefitsHourly Pay: $34.00/hourHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental Vision)Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary ADD)Paid Time Off (Vacation Public Holidays)Originally posted on Himalayas
