The role involves designing and implementing cloud architectures, collaborating with stakeholders, and optimizing cloud resources for cost and performance.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement cloud architectures that are scalable, secure, and cost-effectiveBuild and configure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM, and CloudFormationCollaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and design/develop solutionsMigrate legacy applications to cloud platforms by refactoring them to microservices, serverless, or container-based architecturesTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure high availability and optimal performanceImplement automation for CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices to streamline development and operational processesProvide technical guidance and best practices to ensure solutions meet business objectives and regulatory requirementsConduct technical reviews, code walkthroughs, and architecture validation sessions, to help maintain high standards and consistency across projectsImplement secure data exchange and interoperability through modern messaging and API technologiesContinuously optimize cloud resources to achieve the best balance of cost, performance, and scalabilityDocument solution architectures, technical decisions, and implementation steps using industry-standard modeling toolsOther duties as assignedSkills1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related areaKnowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular fieldStrong knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#), software design patterns, and system architectures (e.g., microservices, service-oriented architecture)Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their architectural principlesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challengesStrong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholdersMust be able to pass a background checkAdvanced proficiency in designing, building, and troubleshooting cloud-native solutionsProficiency with AWS, Azure, and GCP – deploying, configuring, and managing native services for computer, networking, security, and dataExpertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation) and automation of cloud deploymentsProficiency in designing solutions using modern development stacks (Java, .NET, Node.js, Python)Strong skills in DevOps/GitOps, CI/CD pipeline setup, and cloud monitoring toolsPractical proficiency with API gateway management, service mesh, and secure API developmentAbility to lead technical teams in solution delivery, code reviews, and architecture validationProficient in migrating and refactoring legacy applications for cloud environmentsDeep knowledge of cloud security, compliance frameworks, and secure data exchangeKnowledge of critical federal and state cybersecurity and risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, FISMA, FedRAMP, CMMC), and experience designing compliant systemsKnowledge of enterprise data exchange standards relevant to the public sector (e.g., NIEM, HL7, FHIR) and experience with modern messaging/middleware technologies for secure data interoperabilityExceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate mannerExceptional verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detailStrong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple design streams across concurrent work effortMust be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional teamAbility to stay current with evolving public sector technology trends, including zero-trust security, cloud migration, and shared platformsSkill in solving problems including scheduling, testing, installing, and implementing programs and in troubleshooting computer systemsAbility to analyze systems and procedures, to write and revise standards and procedures, and to communicate effectivelyBachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldCertifications such as AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or equivalent are preferredExperience in application design and development, with experience in hands-on cloud architecture rolesExperience with cloud technologies and DevOps toolsExcellent communication, technical writing, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work independentlyBenefitsMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance;
