Cloud Infrastructure & Operations Engineer (AWS / Azure)
This role requires candidates who are currently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, and C2C arrangements are not accepted. This role is remote.
We're working with a large enterprise environment looking to add a Cloud Infrastructure & Operations Engineer to their team. This role sits at the intersection of hands-on cloud work and guiding overall architecture, with a focus on improving and optimizing an existing AWS-heavy environment.
What you'll be doing
⢠Support day-to-day cloud operations across AWS and Azure
⢠Partner with application teams to improve and modernize existing environments
⢠Help re-architect systems following recent large-scale cloud migrations
⢠Work closely with an offshore partner (Accenture) to guide delivery and ensure quality
⢠Identify opportunities to improve performance, reduce cost, and increase visibility (FinOps mindset)
⢠Contribute to governance, standards, and overall cloud best practices
What they're looking for
⢠Strong experience in AWS (primary) and Azure (secondary)
⢠Background in cloud infrastructure, operations, or engineering
⢠Experience with DevOps environments, pipelines, and infrastructure automation
⢠Ability to operate independently and push work forward without heavy direction
⢠Comfortable working across teams and holding partners accountable
Nice to have
⢠Cloud architecture experience (helping re-design or improve environments)
⢠Exposure to cost optimization / FinOps concepts
⢠Experience working in large, enterprise environments
Additional details
⢠Fully remote (U.S. time zones)
⢠Team is distributed across the U.S.
⢠Long-term contract (initial ~12 months)
⢠Interview process is streamlined (panel-style)
If you want it a little more aggressive / candidate-attracting, I can tighten the top 2 lines to hit harder, but this version will get solid inbound without scaring people off.
