Cloud Engineer

About the RoleWe're looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our growing tech team. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring our systems are secure, scalable, and efficient. Main Accountabilities and Key Tasks: Collaborate with architects to design and deploy AWS applications at scale.Monitor and optimize cloud components for performance, uptime, and cost.Identify legacy systems suitable for cloud migration and lead modernization efforts.Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.Implement monitoring and logging solutions to proactively detect and prevent issues.Write clear, effective documentation for cloud architecture and operations.Work through the full development lifecycle for AWS-based projects.Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.Partner with Security, DevOps, and Engineering teams to enforce cloud security and best practices. Knowledge and experience: 3+ years in a similar cloud-focused role.Deep knowledge of AWS services and architecture.Experience and understanding of building VPC’s in AWS – including subnets, route tables, NACLs, Internet Gateways and NAT gateways/instances.Experience with EC2, Load Balancers,AutoScaling groups.Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).Experience in Linux administration and shell scripting.Solid understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration.Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch).Strong grasp of cloud security principles and best practices.Experience with standards like PCI-DSS, GDPR, or CIS is a plus.Why Join Us?Work on high-impact, cloud-first projects in a collaborative environment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, data science, security, and DevOps.Be part of a company that values innovation, autonomy, and continuous learning.
