Closer (Remote)
Summary Description:
Under the direction of the COO, the Closer is responsible for closing and funding all Agency, FHA, VA, USDA loans, and ensuring that they are closed according to agency and/or investor requirements. Duties:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
ā¢ Coordinates closings on all loan files.
ā¢ Performs compliance review to ensure rates and fees are within TRID/Agency guidelines.
ā¢ Prepares and delivers closing documents to settlement agent.
ā¢ Reviews and approves Closing Disclosure.
ā¢ Ensures data integrity on all loan files.
ā¢ Ensures closing conditions are satisfied.
ā¢ Maintains current knowledge of agency, investor, and underwriting requirements.
ā¢ Provides clear, effective communication with team members.
ā¢ Assists with training closing/funding staff in the department.
ā¢ Performs additional duties as assigned by management of The Mortgage Firm.
Qualifications:
ā¢ Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills
ā¢ Proficient in Encompass and Microsoft Outlook
ā¢ Minimum of high school diploma required.
ā¢ Highly detailed and organized with ability to multi-task.
ā¢ Professional image.
ā¢ Minimum 2 years of recent mortgage experience required.
ā¢ Knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA, FHLMC, and investor guidelines.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
ā¢ Position may require extended periods of sedentary activity
ā¢ Position requires use of traditional office equipment such as a computer, laptop, tablet, cell phone, and copy/fax machine
