Vela Counseling Group is a boutique, high-touch therapy practice providing thoughtful, compassionate care across California. We are expanding and seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor (LMFT or LCSW) to join us in supporting our associate clinicians (AMFTs and ASWs) as they grow in their clinical skill and confidence.
This is a fully remote, 1099 contract position focused solely on clinical supervision. You’ll supervise 2–6 associates, with flexibility and autonomy, while being part of a mission-driven, values-based organization that prioritizes both clinical excellence and human connection.
The Role:
• Provide weekly individual or dyadic supervision to a small caseload of associate therapists
• Sign BBS supervision logs and meet all legal and ethical supervision requirements
• Support associate development with warmth, structure, and sound clinical guidance
• Communicate occasionally with Vela’s leadership team to ensure alignment and support
What We’re Looking For:
• Active California LMFT or LCSW license, in good standing
• BBS-qualified supervisor status (2+ years post-licensure)
• A collaborative, grounded, and supportive supervision style
• Alignment with Vela’s approach: client-centered, inclusive, culturally aware, and ethically sharp
• Comfort with remote work and basic tech platforms
Compensation:
• $375 per supervisee/month
• Caseload capped to support quality and sustainability (up to 6 supervisees)
• All admin, marketing, and coordination handled by Vela — you just show up and supervise
