Clinical Documentation & Compliance Reviewer (Remote, Part-Time, Contract)
Job Overview Outpatient mental health group practice seeking a Clinical Documentation & Compliance Reviewer to support documentation quality and payer compliance. What you’ll do: • Review a small, randomized sample of associate psychotherapy notes each month • Use a checklist to ensure required documentation elements are present • Leave brief notes or recommendations when items are missing or unclear • Work asynchronously with minimal back-and-forth This role is documentation review only — no clinical judgment, no rewriting notes, no supervision, and no signing of records. About the practice: We bill a few hundred sessions per month across multiple associates. This role typically requires a handful of hours per week (volume may increase slightly as the practice grows). Ideal background: experience with mental health documentation, billing, QA, or compliance. Licensed clinicians not required.
