Position OverviewThe Clinical Chart Auditor reports directly to the Clinical Director and is responsible for overseeing the quality, accuracy, and compliance of clinical documentation across the practice. This role plays a key part in mitigating audit risk, supporting timely reimbursement, and upholding documentation standards.In addition to conducting chart audits, this individual will generate and monitor compliance reports related to documentation timeliness, completion, and quality, helping to identify trends and enforce accountability across the clinical team.This position is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, confident in identifying deficiencies, and comfortable providing clear, direct feedback to clinicians.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct routine and ongoing audits of clinical documentation (e.g., intake assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, medical necessity)Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and organizational standardsRun and analyze compliance reports related to documentation timeliness, completion rates, and quality metricsIdentify documentation deficiencies, trends, and areas of risk across providersProvide clear, direct, and actionable feedback to clinicians regarding required corrections and expectationsTrack, document, and report audit findings to the Clinical DirectorSupport enforcement of documentation deadlines and compliance standardsCollaborate with leadership to improve workflows and documentation processesAssist with audit readiness and risk mitigation efforts to protect the organization from financial and regulatory risk Qualifications2–3 years of clinical documentation experience in a behavioral health setting, preferred Prior experience in chart auditing, utilization review, compliance, or quality assurance strongly preferredStrong knowledge of medical necessity criteria and payer documentation requirementsExperience running reports within an EHR (e.g., SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, or similar) preferredFamiliarity with HIPAA and behavioral health regulationsExceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyPreferred Skills & TraitsHigh level of integrity and commitment to complianceDirect, confident communication style with the ability to hold clinicians accountableStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on data from compliance reportsComfortable identifying errors and enforcing documentation standardsAbility to balance thoroughness with efficiencyWhy Join UsFlexible, part-time scheduleDirect collaboration with leadership and meaningful impact on clinical qualityOpportunity to build and strengthen compliance systems within a growing organizationSupportive, mission-driven team environment

We have two locations (Bel Air and Nottingham), as well as the Get Centered Studio in Bel Air which offers vibrational sound healing, therapeutic yoga, meditation, and more.
