Clinical Applications Architect

Job Description:
• Lead end-to-end solution architecture across Epic Ambulatory, Cadence, Referrals, and MyChart, ensuring a cohesive, scalable ecosystem that supports enterprise growth.
• Architect integrated clinical and patient access workflows—including scheduling modernization, order workflows, and digital front-door enhancements.
• Execute and support complex application builds across diverse operational environments, including multi-site ambulatory and community affiliate settings.
• Provide technical leadership to Epic application analysts, with a strong focus on quality, service excellence, and alignment to Epic and organizational standards.
• Facilitate adoption of new features and workflow optimizations using structured communication, stakeholder workgroups, and concise operational presentations.
• Partner closely with clinicians, operational leaders, and IT leadership to ensure architecture decisions effectively support business value and patient care improvements.
• Lead solution reviews, dependency mapping, gap analysis, and coordinated delivery through testing and go-live readiness.

Requirements:
• 5+ years of Epic implementation or architecture leadership in a large health system.
• Proven experience designing cross-domain workflows including scheduling, clinical workflows, referrals management, and digital front-door strategy.
• Epic Certification Requirements: Ambulatory, Cadence, Referrals, MyChart, and At least one additional Epic certification (minimum of 5 total)
• Strong understanding of clinical operations, provider experience needs, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, Meaningful Use, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to advise executives and influence architecture decisions.
• Experience with governance, standardization, and lifecycle management for Epic apps.
