Client Development / Sales Director (100% Remote II 12-Month Contract)
Overview
Our client, a leading organization in the consumer financial services space, is seeking a VP, Client Development to drive growth of its eCommerce Solutions program. This role is focused on acquiring and activating digital merchants, building strategic partnerships, and scaling a high-impact sales channel.
Key Responsibilities
ā¢ Identify, prospect, and close new eCommerce merchant opportunities
ā¢ Pitch a suite of digital commerce solutions to small and mid-sized online businesses
ā¢ Re-engage and convert stalled or partial leads within the sales funnel
ā¢ Develop and manage relationships with distribution partners (e.g., agencies, platforms) to drive scalable growth
ā¢ Collaborate cross-functionally with product and marketing teams to refine go-to-market strategies
ā¢ Track performance against sales goals and continuously optimize approach
ā¢ Share market feedback and competitive insights to inform product evolution
Must-Have Qualifications
ā¢ Proven ability to sell and close new business
ā¢ Experience in eCommerce and/or digital retail environments
ā¢ 5-7+ years in sales, client development, or account management
ā¢ Background supporting consumer finance, retail, or private label credit programs is highly preferred
