Key Responsibilities:
Prepare lesson materials and classroom curriculum tailored to individual student needs
Assist the lead teacher in developing and adapting teaching methods to meet students' unique needs
Work with students in small groups to provide targeted support in reading and math
Provide extra support to students with physical, mental, or linguistic limitations
Maintain detailed records of student progress on instructional or behavioral goals
Support students with assistive devices and technologies
Perform specialized tasks to achieve instructional and behavioral objectives
Assist SPED teachers with behavior modification procedures and IEP implementation
Requirements and Qualifications:
At least one year of experience working in an elementary school setting
At least one year of experience working with RtI or SPED students (for certain aide positions)
High School diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in education or related field preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility and willingness to learn
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse students, teachers, and staff
