Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers.
Duties
Ā Operate trucks to transport freight to various locations as assigned.
Ā Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling of goods.
Ā Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Ā Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including route details and cargo information.
Ā Drive manual transmission vehicles when required, demonstrating proficiency in handling different truck types.
Ā Follow all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Ā Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or issues encountered during transport.
Skills
Ā Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
Ā Familiarity with operating various truck types, including roll-off trucks, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers.
Ā Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills to ensure timely deliveries.
Ā Ability to load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
Ā Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
Ā Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records.
Ā Ability to work independently while adhering to company policies and safety standards.
