Claims Specialist (Full-Time, Remote)

ClaimsFirst Services, a Third-Party Administrator, is seeking a highly capable Claims Specialist to join our Professional Liability Claims team.

This role will adjudicate EPL and Private D&O claims for our clients.

The primary duties and responsibilities of the role are:
• Investigating claims promptly and thoroughly.
• Analyzing claims forms, policies and endorsements, client instructions, and other records to determine whether the loss falls within the policy coverage.
• Working independently under minimal technical direction and within significant limits and authority.

• Properly setting claim reserves, identifying, assigning, and coordinating the assignment and coordination of expertise resources to assist in case resolution.
• Preparing reports for file documentation.
• Reporting to senior management and underwriters on claims trends and developments
• This position is fully remote.

Core qualifications and requirements for this position include:
• A practical knowledge of adjudicating management and professional liability claims.
• A minimum of two years’ experience adjudicating management and professional liability claims with exposure of $100,000 or more.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required; a JD is strongly preferred.
• Must possess or have ability to quickly obtain a license in each jurisdiction requiring a license to adjudicate first party claims.
• Excellent evaluation, strategic skills and claim negotiation with a customer focus.
• Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize workload while handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Must work independently and demonstrate the ability to exercise sound judgment.
• Must have excellent communication skills.

Education:
• Doctorate (Required)

Experience:
• D&O: and EPL - 2 years

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
