Claims Specialist (Auto, Bodily Injury)
About the position Responsibilities • Manage non-litigated claims related to auto physical damage, bodily injury, and third-party property damage. • Collaborate with internal and external contacts including customers, vendors, suppliers, and brokers. • Ensure claims are resolved efficiently and effectively within defined authority limits and established protocols. • Develop knowledge of established protocols and industry best practices for claims handling. • Provide exceptional customer-focused service throughout the claims process. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree and 2 or more years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance, or equivalent experience through Zurich Claims Training Program or Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice. • Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s). • Experience with Microsoft Office and knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products. Nice-to-haves • Experience working in Commercial Auto Claims. • Experience working with Bodily Injury Claims. • Currently hold an active adjusters license. • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across work groups. • Understanding of claims adjustment process and ability to determine scope/exposure for losses. • Familiarity with negotiation strategies and experience in suggesting alternative approaches. • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
