As a claims adjuster senior, you’ll manage injury claims from commercial product policy customers. You’ll investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of Progressive’s liability concerning loss of damages. You’ll interview insureds, agents, police, witnesses, and claimants to compile information. In this role, claims will be high complexity, multiple vehicles, non-represented, attorney represented or litigated files. Commercial Lines experience not required.

This is a remote position with occasional travel to an office for a meeting and/or training. If you are interested, you’ll also have the option to work a hybrid or full-time office schedule depending on your location.
Duties and responsibilities
• Identify exposures related to loss and determine coverage
• Make liability decisions, analyze aggravating factors and potential for shared responsibility, and set up subrogation
• Manage outside counsel through litigation process
• Use knowledge of state regulatory and statutory requirements for a multi-state region
• May also handle fixed property or business interruption claims
• Pursue early settlement opportunities with injured person
• Prioritize and evaluate claims, the majority will be injury/casualty
Must-have qualifications
• Five years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling
• OR Associate’s degree and four years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling
• OR Bachelor’s degree and two years in claims handling

Preferred skills
• Attorney represented bodily injury experience
• Demonstrated understanding of litigation process
• Auto coverage and liability experience
• Proven negotiation skills in a claims handling environment
Compensation
• $76,900 - $95,600/year
• Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 24% of eligible earnings based on company performance
