Responsibilities
? Perform civil engineering work in the office and field.

? Assist in the design and construction of technical and engineering projects.

? Conduct investigations and maintenance of public works or underground utilities projects.

? Supervise subordinate engineers and technicians (for Civil Engineer II and III).

? Exercise independent judgment in planning, design, and construction practices.

Requirements
? Possession of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.

? For Civil Engineer I: Must obtain an NCEE Engineer Intern Registration within two years of employment.

? For Civil Engineer II: Must possess an NCEE Engineer Intern Registration.
,
? For Civil Engineer III: Must possess registration as a licensed professional engineer (PE) at the time of application and attain registration in Florida within one year of employment.

? At the department director's discretion, a valid Class E State driver's license may be required.

Nice-to-haves
