Civil Design Engineer

The Civil Design Engineer will be responsible for producing in-house civil designs to support utility-scale solar projects.ResponsibilitiesAssist senior engineers in preparing site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management plans, erosion control plans, and other civil engineering design elements for utility-scale solar projectsConduct site due diligence research, analyze topographic data, and perform basic engineering calculations to support design developmentThe primary focus will be developing 30% designs to service as the basis for our business development and estimating effortsCreate and modify detailed civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design softwareResearch and stay current on local, state, and federal civil engineering and solar development regulationsParticipate in design reviews and collaborate effectively with other engineering disciplines and project teamsAssist in the preparation of technical reports, calculations, and specificationsMaintenance of accurate project documentation, including design revision/iteration historySkillsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institutionEIT (Engineer in Training) certification or on track to obtain itDemonstrated proficiency in civil design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, PVsyst, or similar)Basic understanding of civil engineering principles, including hydrology, grading, and stormwater managementBasic knowledge of applicable building codes, engineering principles, and industry best practicesStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work effectively both independently and within a team environmentCommitment to safetyStrong sense of urgencyBenefitsEmployees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, basic life and disability insurance.Employees can enroll in our company’s 401(k) plan.Employees are provided vacation, sick and holiday pay.Company OverviewSOLV Energy offers engineering procurement construction, operations, maintenance, technology and services.
