Kiddom’s high-quality curriculum is layered with robust teacher and leader data insights to drive the continuous improvement of instructional decisions, school/district programming, and professional learning.Kiddom is seeking a highly qualified Job-Embedded Coach to support the implementation of our curriculum and instructional model in the Petersburg City School District. This is a full-time, in-person, one-year position, with the potential to renew. The selected candidate will be a Kiddom employee, working in close collaboration with the district instructional leadership team and adhering to the district’s calendar, expectations, and building schedules.This role blends district priorities with Kiddom’s instructional vision, requiring a coach who can build capacity among educators, foster high-impact PLCs, support all teacher types (licensed, provisioned, long-term subs), and develop school leaders as instructional leaders. You Will... Provide in-school support for teachers across all staffing levels (fully licensed, provisioned/long-term substitutes, and new specialists).Embed coaching into the daily rhythm of instruction, spending one full day per week at each assigned school.Support curriculum implementation by modeling lessons, co-planning, co-teaching, and debriefing with teachers.Design and deliver school-based and district-wide professional learning aligned with the district’s instructional vision and Kiddom’s curricular approach.Support weekly and monthly district-wide walkthroughs, observations, and calibration alongside instructional leadership.Serve as a bridge between Kiddom and district stakeholders, bringing feedback and insights to both organizations to support alignment and continuous improvement. What we're looking for... Valid Virginia teaching certification (or eligible to transfer to Virginia. Experience with diverse populations and administrator coaching encouraged.Deep expertise with Illustrative Mathematics and strong familiarity with instructional technology to learn and implement Kiddom’s curriculum learning environment.Demonstrated experience in both teacher coaching and school leadership coaching.Knowledge of how to unpack academic standards and translate them into effective instructional planning.Strong background in supporting curriculum implementation and problem-based learning.Experience working in restructured systems and comfort supporting multiple types of teachers and team configurations.Skilled at working in both collaborative and autonomous environments.
