CISCO Voice Engineer (Remote & Night Shift Only)

Remote Full-time
Duties:
• Serve as the lead technical consultant responsible for the continuous operation and performance of the enterprise voice infrastructure.
• Responsible for the use of Prognosis, Splunk, SevOne, Spectrum to help troubleshoot the voice environment and setup dashboards and alerts...
• Also responsible for day-to-day operations of mission critical technologies including Cisco Voice Gateways, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Emergency Responder and Oracle SBC.
• Troubleshoots and proceeds on resolving infrastructure compatibility issues based on system architecture, project requirements, customer expectations, etc.
• Respond to high impact issues on a 24x7 basis, participating in a rotating on-call schedule with other team members.

Skills:
• Configure, maintain, and support Cisco Unified Communication Manager (CUCM)
• Configure, maintain, and support Cisco Unity Connection (CUC)
• Configure, maintain, and support Cisco Emergency Responder (CER)
• Configure, maintain, and support Cisco Voice Gateways (VG)
• Troubleshoot and resolve CUCM, CUC, CER, and VG issues within the core voice infrastructure
• Configure, maintain, support and monitor Oracle Session Border Controllers (SBC's) within core voice infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve SBC issues within the core voice infrastructure Patching and upgrades to the SBC's as needed Experience with Avaya CM strongly preferred

Router/Switch Experience:
• Experience with Cisco networking
• Experience with F5 load balancers to include the GTM and LTM platforms a plus
• Experience with Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls a plus
• Experience in configuration & operation of network management instruments such as SNMP, SYSLOG, NetFlow, etc.
• Experience with packet capture tools such as, Wireshark, and tcpdump
• Well versed in crisis management and root cause analysis techniques
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations Highly self-motivated and directed Strong organizational skills/ Keen attention to detail Strong customer service orientation

Education:
• High School/GED required minimum
