Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SD-WAN Engineer with a strong background in Cisco routing, switching, and Cisco Viptela SD-WAN technologies to support a large enterprise healthcare network environment. This role will focus on hands-on troubleshooting, new site deployments, optimization, and some design support across a distributed CONUS network.

Candidates must be local to Nashville and available to come onsite to the office 4 days/week

Responsibilities
• Provide break/fix troubleshooting and operational support for Cisco Viptela and Fortinet SD-WAN environments
• Engineer and support new SD-WAN site deployments across multiple U.S. locations
• Assist with SD-WAN architecture and design efforts as needed
• Perform optimization and performance tuning of SD-WAN and WAN connectivity
• Support enterprise routing and switching functions within a healthcare network environment
• Work across underlay and overlay networking concepts, ensuring stable WAN/MPLS connectivity
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders; strong collaboration skills are essential

Qualifications
• 3–5 years of direct experience troubleshooting, engineering, and supporting Cisco SD-WAN technologies
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Viptela SD-WAN (vManage, vBond, vSmart)
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet SD-WAN
• Strong knowledge of enterprise routing and switching
• Required protocol experience:
• BGP
• OSPF
• Experience with DMVPN preferred
• Solid understanding of:
• Overlay/underlay network design
• WAN and MPLS environments
• Ability to support occasional after-hours work as needed while maintaining a 40-hour work week

Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to Meraki SD-WAN is beneficial but not required
