About Us: HR Ministry Solutions is a 501c3 faith-based non-profit helping churches and ministries be as passionate about protecting and providing for their staff as they are for the people they are reaching. Role Snapshot: The Church HR Advisor (CA Expertise) assists ministry clients with HR audits and specialized consulting while helping them navigate ministry-specific HR compliance questions. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct virtual church/ministry HR Audits and create Gap Analysis Reports. • Research and provide HR answers based on ministry best practices and compliance. • Advise on wage and hour issues, including the ministerial exception. • Manage client projects, timelines, and blueprints in Smartsheet. • Stay up to date on new HR legislation both secular and church-related. Requirements: • 1+ year of paid Church or Ministry HR experience (not volunteer). • 1+ year of California (CA) HR experience. • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel. • Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight in a remote environment. Position Details & Benefits: • Schedule: Part-Time (20-25 hours/week), Monday - Thursday. • Compensation: $26 - $28 per hour. • Benefits: Includes Sick Leave, Vacation, Paid Holidays, and Retirement with matching.
