About the Role: We are seeking a visionary technology leader to define and execute StackUnited’s long-term technology strategy. As CTO, you will lead a high-performing global engineering team that is currently 12 people and growing. You will play a critical role in shaping our platform that powers digital content creation and streaming at scale, while building a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. Responsibilities • Develop and implement a technology roadmap that aligns with our business strategy, positioning StackUnited as a leader in digital content distribution and streaming. • Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed team of engineers while attracting and retaining top global talent. • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance systems for rich media and streaming content delivery. • Ensure platform stability, reliability, and security while driving continuous improvement. • Partner directly with the CEO and executive team on business-critical initiatives and product direction. • Introduce best practices in architecture, agile processes, and DevOps to drive efficiency and innovation. • Evaluate emerging technologies, particularly those related to CDN, streaming, and media platforms, to maintain a competitive edge. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • Master’s degree in related fields preferred. • 10+ years in senior technology leadership with a record of scaling engineering teams and platforms. • Proven expertise in building and optimizing platforms for content delivery networks (CDN), rich media, and streaming content. • Hands-on technical experience with: • Languages: C++, Rust, or Go • Frontend: React.js with TypeScript • Backend: Node.js with TypeScript • Databases: SQL and NoSQL • Strong background in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and high-availability systems. • Experience leading engineering teams in fast-moving, global, and remote-first environments. • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to inspire and align teams. • Deep understanding of agile methodologies and DevOps practices. • Strategic thinker who can balance execution with long-term vision. • Experience scaling infrastructure at a major technology company (e.g., streaming, CDN, or large-scale distributed systems) is a strong plus Compensation $300,000 to $450,000 annually, based on experience and location.
