Position Summary
Leads advanced software development and microservice architecture for Avum's enterprise applications. Manages Java development teams, drives technical strategy for microservice platforms, and ensures audit compliance for complex codebases.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Lead development and maintenance of enterprise microservices (Java/Spring Boot, Tanzu)
β’ Manage PPMAP application and project including requirements gathering and stakeholder coordination
β’ Lead and manage Java development team for microservice architecture work
β’ Ensure compliance with code audit requirements and security standards
β’ Drive technical strategy for API development, plugin architecture, and system integration
β’ Mentor senior developers on architecture decisions and best practices
β’ Coordinate with QA and operations on deployment and production support
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $155,000 β $210,000 annually, with a target midpoint of $180,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and geographic location. Requirements
Required Qualifications
β’ Master's or PhD in computer science, engineering, or related field
β’ 12+ years of software development experience with 5+ in architecture/leadership
β’ Expert-level Java, Spring Boot, and microservice architecture skills
β’ Active Secret clearance
β’ U.S. citizenship required
β’ Experience with Tanzu/Cloud Foundry or Kubernetes-based microservice platforms
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Publications or patents in relevant technical domains
β’ Experience with Appian plugin development
β’ AWS or cloud architecture certifications
β’ CMMC/NIST compliance experience
