As a subsidiary of Farmfolio, a global agribusiness investment platform, we connect agricultural producers directly with international markets through efficient logistics, disciplined financial management, and transparent operations. Our mission is to create a more direct, sustainable, and profitable pathway from farm to market — empowering growers, distributors, and investors alike. Position Overview The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all financial operations for Farm Direct Partners, including bookkeeping, AR/AP, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and capital strategy. This role works closely with the CEO, Farmfolio’s leadership team, and external financial partners to support company growth, ensure fiscal discipline, and maintain transparent reporting. This is a fully remote position requiring a hands-on, detail-oriented finance leader who is fluent in English and Spanishand has deep experience in the fresh produce industry. Key Responsibilities Financial Operations • Oversee all accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bookkeeping functions. • Manage monthly closes, reconciliations, and cash flow reporting. • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity of financial data across U.S. and LATAM entities. • Maintain strong internal controls and oversee tax and audit processes. Strategic Planning & Reporting • Develop and manage annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial models. • Provide weekly reports and KPI summaries to the CEO. • Deliver actionable insights and scenario analysis to support business decisions. Capital Management • Partner with banks, lenders, and investment firms to support capital raising, credit facilities, and financing strategies. • Prepare and present financial statements, forecasts, and business cases to external financial partners and investors. • Collaborate with Farmfolio’s investment team on funding initiatives and due diligence processes. Systems & Leadership • Manage financial systems and reporting platforms. • Famous Software experience is required, with a strong understanding of produce-industry ERP processes. • Build and lead a capable accounting and finance team to support growth and compliance. Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of finance, accounting, or bookkeeping experience, ideally in import/export or produce distribution. • Bookkeeping experience required. • Famous Software experience required. • Produce industry experience required. • Proven success in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management. • Demonstrated ability to prepare and present financial information to banks and investment firms. • Experience with multi-entity or cross-border financial structures preferred. • CPA or CFA designation preferred. • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required). • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. • Comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced, international environment.
