JobReq0051511 Job Description​ Saint Luke's is hiring an Experienced RN to join their team as a Charge Audit Nurse Specialist! • Remote position but must live in the Kansas City metro area; initial training is done onsite for several weeks. Must be able to come onsite to our Corporate office for meetings and additional training as needed after orientation as well. • Monday - Friday, Days, No Weekends, No Holidays • RN license required, Epic experience preferred Represents SLHS in supporting charging accuracy among clinical departments. Performs charge capture for assigned departments and reviews patient medical records and validates documentation to support charges. Shares charge trends with department Managers and Charge Management so they can provide education to staff for maximal revenue capture for ER, Infusion and nursing units. Collaborates with Charge Management, Patient Accounts, HIM, UR and other departments for claim edit resolution, charge issue resolution and process improvement. Serves as a liaison and resource between clinical and Patient Accounts departments. • Complete charge capture for metro Emergency departments, Infusion Clinics and/or most bedded nursing units. • Perform IR audits for metro facilities. • Manage Epic work queues assigned to nurse auditors for edit/issue resolution and complete accounts in timely manner. • Manage the 3rd party commercial audit process. • Report charging trends including documentation issues to Charge Management service line analyst and Charge Audit Manager. • Participate in ad hoc meetings/projects for process improvement/issue resolution.
