We are a top rated growing residential appraisal firm in Alabama and Tennessee expanding into the Nashville and Chattanooga markets and are actively seeking a Remote, work from Home, Licensed Residential Appraiser in each location.
If you are self-motivated, detail-oriented, with a strong support team behind you — we want to talk.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate must be a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser in Tennessee (will consider Licensed as well) and proficient in all skills required to competently perform residential appraisal assignments from start to finish. The opportunity will be part time to start moving to potential full time as we grow in the area.
Required Skills & Competencies:
• Conduct complete residential property inspections when needed
• Perform market analysis and neighborhood analysis
• Research and verify comparable sales
• Apply sales comparison, cost, and income approaches (as applicable)
• Ensure full USPAP compliance
• Prepare clear, well-supported appraisal reports
• Strong understanding of UAD guidelines
• Proficiency in appraisal software platforms
• Ability to manage deadlines and high-volume workflow when needed
• Communicate professionally with clients, lenders, and homeowners
• Maintain strong file documentation and workfile compliance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Technology proficiency (MLS systems, public records, mapping tools, etc.)
• Willing to adapt to our structure and Definitive Valuations systems in place
