Must Have Skills / Requirements
Certification in American Sign Language interpretation from a recognized body (e.g., Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf).
Strict adherence to interpreter’s code of conduct and ethics.
Maintain confidentiality of information exchanged in interpreting situations.
Commitment to professionalism, punctuality, and reliability.
Excellent ASL/English interpretation services in a variety of settings, including:
Multiple participants via video or in-person
Planned services (conferences, VRI)
Onsite meetings (when applicable)
Subject matter from daily assignments to complex strategies
Teaming with other interpreters
Adaptability in working with diverse populations and interpreting models.
Proven experience managing executive schedules or in similar administrative roles.
Familiarity with project/program management processes.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Nice to Have Skills / Preferred Requirements
Soft Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong time management and coordination abilities
Flexible, adaptable, and proactive problem-solver
Confidentiality in handling sensitive information
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Ability to handle high volume of complex projects for multiple stakeholders
Education / Certifications
Two years consecutive professional experience as a Sign Language Interpreter preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, or related field preferred.
