Certification Program Supervisor (US Remote)FoodChain ID is seeking a Certification Program Supervisor to lead and support a team of Certification Specialists within our organic certification program. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with strong expertise in USDA Organic standards, a passion for team leadership, and a drive for operational excellence.About the RoleAs a Certification Program Supervisor, you will oversee daily certification operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with USDA National Organic Program (NOP) standards. You will play a key role in mentoring staff, improving processes, and collaborating cross-functionally to support both team success and client satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, supervise, and develop a team of Certification Specialists, including hiring, training, performance management, and ongoing coachingOversee certification workflows, approve certification decisions, assign client accounts, and ensure compliance with operational procedures and NOP standardsMonitor team performance through audits, metrics, and reporting, and drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiencyCollaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Finance, and internal leadership to resolve client issues and support program operationsSupport departmental initiatives including process improvements, team alignment meetings, accreditation audits, and management of key client accountsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in agriculture, food science, or a related scientific fieldMinimum of 5 years’ experience with USDA National Organic Program (NOP) standards and certification processesMust have experience with Livestock and Organic Crop ProductionDemonstrated expertise in organic production, handling, and regulatory compliancePrior supervisory or team leadership experience, including mentoring and performance managementStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical conceptsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and database systemsWhy Join FoodChain ID?At FoodChain ID, you’ll be part of a mission-driven organization committed to integrity, safety, and transparency in the global food supply.
