Certification Engineer II - Flammability

Position Summary / Job Description:

Assists with the planning, coordination, performance of engineering analysis supporting the flammability certification of Interior components.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
• Contributes to planning, developing, and coordinating of test plans and reports to demonstrate flammability compliance.
• Work to complete Flammability Engineering deliverables per schedule and budget.
• Uses advanced techniques and modified extension of theories to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
• Apply appropriate regulatory requirements dependent on part compliance.
• Ensure all Customer technical specifications and requirements are understood and met.
• Works under limited supervision; work should only be required. to be reviewed for accuracy and consistency with meeting overall objectives.
• Acts as liaison with representatives outside of the assigned group/area.

Additional Activities may include:
• Facilitate gathering inputs for the scheduling tools with Engineering team members.
• Formulates and recommends corrective action measures for certification and/or technical issues.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, In manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, or related Engineering Field.

Experience: A minimum 3 years related experience in aircraft certification is a MUST

Required Skills:

Knowledge and experience with flammability regulations (CFRs 25.853, 25.856, 25.855, and 25.1713), flammability testing, reviewing, and developing Test Plans and Reports.

Pay: $68,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
