Centralized Intake Associate (2nd shift)

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Accurately sets up claims in the claims management system by collecting, verifying, and adding essential information received via email or verbal communication. This role serves as a vital link between the client and Sedgwick, ensuring timely and accurate claim initiation, which lays the foundation for excellent service delivery.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews incoming emails to identify and gather necessary claim details.
Inputs claim information into the system according to organizational protocols.
Verifies the completeness and accuracy of submitted documents.
Assigns claims using provided tools, including the “All Clients List” and specialized spreadsheets to identify the appropriate client, apply special instructions, and determine claim-specific coding requirements such as office code.
Collaborates with relevant parties to gather necessary claim information and ensure accurate setup.
Maintains quality by accurately following client-specific set-up instructions and ensuring all required data is correctly entered. This includes verifying client information in CTABS and ensuring acknowledgements are sent to the appropriate parties.
Documents meeting minutes as needed to ensure accurate record-keeping and follow-up.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing
High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience
Two (2) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Skills & Knowledge
Strong oral and written communication skills
PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
Analytical and interpretive skills
Good organizational skills
Ability to create and complete comprehensive, accurate and constructive written reports
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location.
