Job Description
The Driver - Cross Dock is a non touch freight position and responsible for driving tractor and trailer to transport and deliver products from the distribution center to the sales center.
What your day will look like:
Ā Completes pre-trip and post trip inspections
Ā Drives tractor trailers between sales centers
Ā Operate a forklift
Ā Assist Warehouse department with loading and unloading of trucks
What you need to succeed:
Ā Minimum age 21 years old
Ā Class A Commercial Valid Driver's License required, and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
Ā Ability to obtain Doubles Endorsement within 30-45 days of hire date, if applicable
Ā Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
Ā Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
Ā Ability to read, write and speak English
Ā Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
Ā Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
Ā Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
Ā High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ā Ability to become forklift certified
Ā Frequent exposure to chemicals, noise, and frequent sitting (chemical exposure may change depending on location)
Ā Ability to provide quality management
Ā Ability to demonstrate teamwork
Ā Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
Ā Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
