Category Demand Planner
About the position The Demand Planner at Perrigo plays a crucial role in enhancing forecast accuracy and reducing bias across various products and categories. This position involves analyzing demand factors, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leading monthly Category Demand Review meetings. The Demand Planner will leverage their analytical skills to unlock insights from data, ensuring accurate forecasting and driving consensus on demand assumptions. Responsibilities • Improve SKU-level forecast accuracy and eliminate bias across products/categories over a 36-month planning horizon. • Analyze demand factors including market POS data, new/lost business, and service impacts to develop insights into the demand signal. • Conduct root cause analysis on forecast errors and collaborate with business partners on corrective actions. • Lead monthly Category Demand Review meetings with Marketing and Commercial partners. • Mine data for actionable insights and validate assumptions. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of forecast/demand related analytical experience required. • Ability to develop and apply forecasting methods with complex inputs from various sources. • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and results-oriented. • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, able to navigate ambiguity. • High proficiency in Excel and experience with forecasting software.
