Job Description:

The Medical Records & Transcription Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Medical Records and Transcription Department. This includes overseeing record scanning, completion, release of information, patient portal, record storage, record destruction, FormFast, and transcription.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare compliance, including knowledge of HIPAA regulations, and experience in leadership and problem-solving. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with co-workers, hospital staff, administration, patients, physicians, the public, and all internal and external customers in a professional and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Medical Records and Transcription Department.
• Supervise and direct all functions of Medical Record Department, including record completion, transcription, release of information, documentation compliance, patient portal, scanning, record storage, and retrieval of records.
• Develop and implement medical records policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Ensure that only authorized individuals have access to patient information and that all releases comply with HIPAA, company policy, and other regulations. Apply Job!
