About the position

The Career Consultant position at LHH Recruitment Solutions is designed to provide individualized support and strategies for candidates in transition, helping them identify career options and achieve successful outcomes. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including assisting candidates with managing change, assessing their skills and interests, defining career goals, and guiding them through the processes of resume and LinkedIn profile development, interviewing, negotiating, and new job assimilation. The consultant will support candidates in moving forward with change, building confidence, and creating a tailored career marketing plan that aligns with their experience, interests, and the demands of the job market. In this position, the consultant will take a proactive approach to engage, motivate, and guide candidates in utilizing LHH's resources and technology tools. This includes demonstrating expertise in current job-related technology such as LinkedIn, AI, ChatGPT, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and various research databases. The consultant will also play an active role in helping candidates connect to job opportunities by staying informed about current job market trends and the significance of industry and professional groups. Additionally, the consultant will provide coaching expertise to assist individuals during interviews and salary negotiations, enabling them to navigate the job search process confidently and secure suitable job opportunities. Time management and prioritization are crucial, as the consultant will be responsible for individual program deliverables, candidate activity reporting, participation in customer projects, and engagement in LHH training and events as applicable.

Responsibilities
• Assist candidates across a broad spectrum of career transition needs including managing change, assessing skills and interests, and defining career goals.

• Guide candidates in resume and LinkedIn profile development, interviewing, negotiating, and new job assimilation.

• Support candidates in building confidence and creating a tailored career marketing plan.

• Engage, motivate, and guide candidates in utilizing LHH resources and technology tools.

• Demonstrate expertise in job-related technology including LinkedIn, AI, ChatGPT, and ATS.

• Help candidates connect to jobs by understanding current job market trends and the importance of industry groups.

• Educate and motivate candidates on utilizing LHH tools and resources, including participation in Career Collaboration groups and Open Forums.
,
• Provide coaching expertise for interviews and salary negotiations to help candidates secure job opportunities.
,
• Manage time and priorities related to individual program deliverables and candidate activity reporting.

Requirements
• Preferred 8+ years of professional expertise in Career Consulting or related fields such as human resources, recruitment, or management consulting.
,
• Business/industry experience across diverse industries such as high tech, financial services, healthcare, and marketing.
,
• Strong job market expertise to assist individuals in assessing their skills and identifying potential fits across various industries.
,
• Knowledge of Talent Acquisition strategies used by recruiters and hiring managers, including ATS systems and applicant sourcing.
,
• Agility in utilizing technology tools and resources including Zoom, Teams, and Microsoft Suite.
,
• Strong service orientation with a passion for making a difference for individuals.
