Cardiac Monitor Specialist
About the position The Cardiac Monitor Specialist is responsible for ICD and Pacemaker device interrogation, testing, and diagnostic interpretation. Is cross-trained and assists in other areas of arrhythmia services as needed. Responsibilities • Perform clinical analysis of pacemaker and ICD patients in the clinic. • Perform ICD checks and pacemaker interrogations. • Document pacemaker/ICD checks into the electronic medical record and reports all findings to the health care provider. • Tests and configures devices to specifications established by a physician or other health care provider. • Enroll and educate new patients into remote monitoring system. • Escalate non-routine issues to the Practice Manager, Pacemaker Clinic Supervisor, or physician. • Communicate with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in the patient's clinical and device conditions. • Print and scan remote checks into the electronic medical record system. • Schedule appointments for follow-up visits when seen in the pacemaker clinic. • Other duties as assigned by management. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required • Heart Rhythm Society certification preferred • 2 years working in a pacemaker setting • 2 years working in Cardiology Apply tot his job
