This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world. Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. Job Title Plumber Job Level CW4 Department General Services Reports to General Services Manager Direct Reports Maintenance Supervisor External Stakeholders Brief description General Services Trade Qualified Plumber to assist the maintenance team with the repairs & maintenance of all assets & equipment associated to camps, site offices, cribs & ablutions & common area facilities: Self-Starter Attention to Detail General Site Maintenance across all assets and Equipment. Problem solving & finding to solutions asset & equipment failures etc. Duties & Responsibilities General maintenance of camps & site facilities including commercial kitchens and laundries Fault finding General maintenance and handyman duties QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENT At least two (2) years in a similar role A valid driver s license and an acceptable driving record Remote experience (preferable) Excellent customer service skills Ability to operate in a climate of confidentiality requiring professionalism and discretion Reliable and dependable attendance in a remote setting Must pass all pre-employment contract requirements which may include but are not limited to, drug, alcohol & fitness testing Accustomed to living in dormitory style/remote camp settings Current NSW Plumbers Licence - Contractors A current and valid NSW Drivers Licence Proven experience in maintenance servicing Be available to work on call hours whilst at site Other requirements for the role: Working at Heights and in confined spaces Previous experience in domestic/commercial and catering equipment maintenance, repairs, and installation work. Routine inspections on electrical systems, fixtures, and appliances. Routine maintenance on plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances. Identify and troubleshoot breakdown faults and hazards. Experience in computer-based maintenance systems (preferable) Current First Aid and CPR Current Driver’s license Ability to Pass a Medical and Drug & Alcohol Test Excellent problem-solving skills Attention to detail and thoroughness Ability to work effectively both in a team and solely Excellent Time Management Skills Dedicated commitment to Safety & Quality Assurance Policies These positions are in remote challenging areas with extreme cold temperatures which need to be considered before applying for these roles.
