California Licensed Senior Legal Assistant
Providing remote legal support for a team of Workers' Compensation Attorneys, the full-time California Licensed Senior Legal Assistant will prepare legal documents, manage attorney calendars, and assist with trial preparation while residing in Southern California and attending quarterly in-office meetings.
Key responsibilities
⢠Utilize software to prepare correspondence, reports, briefs, and court documents in compliance with California Workers' Compensation Appeals Board requirements
⢠Maintain attorney calendars and schedule depositions, coordinating with all necessary parties
⢠Assist attorneys with trial preparation, discovery, and other litigation-related activities while providing general office support
Required qualifications
⢠Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department
⢠Experience in Workers' Compensation is required, with insurance defense experience preferred
⢠Demonstrated experience with the California Workers' Compensation Board system, including EAMS/Filenet
⢠Proficiency with case management software and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
⢠Experience in a high-volume litigation environment, including document production and discovery preparation
