California-Licensed Physician (MD/DO) – Telemedicine (1099)
Clendenin MD is a patient-focused telemedicine practice seeking a California-licensed Physician (MD/DO) to provide high-quality virtual care. We’re looking for a clinician who practices safely and independently, documents thoroughly, and prioritizes regulatory compliance. Preferred background: Psychiatry, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Primary Care Preferred (not required): Active DEA registration and active malpractice insurance Compensation & engagement • Independent Contractor (1099) • Paid per completed patient visit: $90–$130 per completed visit (rate depends on experience/qualifications) • Note: Any hourly rate shown on job boards is an estimate only; compensation is paid per completed visit. Responsibilities • Conduct telemedicine visits (video/phone as clinically appropriate) • Evaluate patients, establish care plans, and provide follow-up care • Prescribe medications when appropriate and in compliance with applicable regulations • Complete accurate, timely documentation in the EMR • Follow compliance workflows (e.g., PDMP checks and controlled-substance safeguards when applicable) • Coordinate with our admin team for scheduling, patient communications, and continuity of care Qualifications (Required) • Active California MD or DO license (in good standing) • Strong clinical judgment and clear, professional communication • Comfort with telehealth workflows and documentation standards • Reliable internet, computer, and a private setting for virtual visits Preferred qualifications • Active DEA registration (as applicable to your practice) • Active malpractice insurance • Experience in Psychiatry / Behavioral Health, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Primary Care, or similar outpatient settings • Prior telemedicine experience and strong documentation habits How to apply Please submit: • Resume/CV • CA medical license number (and NPI, if available) • DEA number (if active) • Proof of malpractice insurance (if active) • Brief note on your clinical background and availability Work Location: Remote Schedule: Flexible Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: $80.00 - $120.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 4 per week Benefits: • Flexible schedule Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
