CAD Drafter (Remote - Gulf States)
Insight Global is seeking a CAD Drafter to join a growing telecommunications and engineering services company supporting major household name clients. This individual will play a key role in supporting tower development projects by creating and revising detailed site plans and technical drawings.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys owning their work and collaborating with engineering teams to manage revisions and keep projects moving efficiently. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders to support multiple active projects, ensuring drawings are accurate, updated, and delivered on time. Additionally, this role will have a light project coordination component, requiring strong organization and communication skills with the clients.
The position will be remote, with flexibility for the candidate to sit local to Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, or even the Florida Panhandle. There may be occasional travel to the office in Birmingham, AL or client sites across the Gulf Coast.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and revise technical drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Support multiple projects by managing drawing updates, revisions, and site plans
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Track changes and maintain organized documentation for project deliverables
- Assist with light project coordination tasks, including communication and status tracking
- Utilize Excel to help manage project data and updates
We are hiring on in a 6-month contract to permanent hire model. The pay rate will range between $27/hr - $30/hr. Candidate will have access to health benefits from day one through Insight Global and will also be on a weekly payroll cycle.

- 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD
- Experience using Civil 3D
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Background in telecommunications, civil engineering, or land development
