We specialize in providing management and technology consulting services to support the business and technology modernization efforts of the Federal Government. ThinkTek was formed with the specific purpose of providing its clients a tailored solution around Program & Project Management, Strategic Planning, and IT Operations. Position Description: ThinkTek is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our analytics team. In this role, you will support business decisions by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to uncover actionable insights. The ideal candidate is curious, eager to learn, and has a solid foundation in working with datasets, particularly using SQL and Excel, with an interest in growing their technical and analytical skills. Key Responsibilities: Collect, clean, and organize data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness. Write and execute SQL queries to extract relevant data for analysis. Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities. Create clear, insightful reports and dashboards to support business teams. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights. Assist in tracking key metrics and KPIs to monitor business performance. Maintain documentation of data processes and reporting procedures. Support ad-hoc data requests and projects as needed. Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience working with SQL to query relational databases. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts). Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills and ability to present data in a clear, meaningful way. High attention to detail and commitment to data quality. Interest in developing skills in data visualization (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and analytics tools. Desired: Experience with Python or R for data analysis. Exposure to data visualization platforms. Understanding of basic statistics and business analytics concepts. Knowledge of AWS Cloud environments is a plus.
