• We are looking for a Business Director to join our team to improve and integrate new product, process, and revenue opportunities and drive cross-functional execution within Shopping. This Business Director will have a demonstrated interest and aptitude for AI native development. While formal on-the-job experience with AI is a plus, we highly value candidates who have proactively incorporated AI into their personal projects, explored AI-driven development environments (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot), or built automations using AI agents. • General Responsibilities:
• Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands
• Leadership: May manage and develop multiple analysts. Coaching and mentoring associates with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital One.
• Technology Product Development and Process Management: Develop and implement new processes and tooling, working directly with engineering to create tools for forecasting, monitoring, automated resolution of a broad array of ; lead product level data modeling/analytics
• Balance of scaled and hands on delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against the business strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently, leading some efforts as a high level individual contributor and others through the team
• Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: Software Engineer (your teams closest partners), Sales, Operations, Product Manager, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability
• Strategic; analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation, given that a large part of the business is based on rigorous analytics
• strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity: They should be a tenacious decision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business.

• Clear results orientation: display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals. They should be able to independently identify opportunities for leverage, drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment
• Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment. Previous growth stage technology experience with escalating responsibility is a plus
