Business Development Representative - Medium/Heavy Duty

Key Departmental Responsibilities• Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.• Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including Technical Support, Warranty, Marketing, and Customer Service resources to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations.• Seeks out development of key Medium/Heavy Duty accounts across USA and Canada• Requires skills in communicating with high level Purchasing and Procurement Professionals across all market segments within the Diesel Forward portfolio of parts• Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume by closing a high level of new accounts• Proactively leads the account planning and forecasting process to develop performance objectives, milestones for one, three, and five-year periods.• Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs.
• Leads solution development efforts to address customer needs, working cross-functionally within Diesel Forward.• Attend meetings, sales events, and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments in the industry.• Report and provide feedback to the sales and marketing team using statistical data.• Utilize the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System to store and retrieve customer data.• Operate in conformance with the requirements of the quality management system.• Maintains records and reports expenses on a monthly basis according to Company policy• Assist other employees in and out of the department.• Provide feedback on system changes/needs.• Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. Sales expertise, product knowledge, and the ability to positively manage customer and vendor relationships is required. Must have the ability to use Microsoft software including Excel, Outlook, and CRM modules. Time management and organization are essential to this role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work cooperatively with all employees to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
