They are seeking a Business Development Representative to take ownership of new business development, focusing on prospecting and building a pipeline in a competitive market. Responsibilities Build and maintain a consistent 30/60/90-day pipeline through daily prospecting and networking Identify and engage decision-makers—owners, directors, or project managers—within small to mid-sized businesses Use curiosity to ask the right questions, qualify effectively, and create interest in tailored solutions rather than off-the-shelf products Comfortably discuss how products are designed, built, and installed Handle basic measurements and read blueprints Prove your ability to generate and qualify strong opportunities and transition to taking on more of the sales process over time Skills Proven Success: Prior success selling into SMBs and reaching decision-makers such as owners or project managers Hunting Instincts: Experience building your own pipeline in environments where competition is real and price is a factor Technical Aptitude: Comfort with basic measurements and reading blueprints to understand how custom products are built Discipline: The ability to work independently and stay disciplined with activity and follow-up in a sales cycle typically lasting 2–3 months or longer Communication: Exceptional engagement skills, with the ability to create interest in companies that may not be actively looking Benefits Health insurance HSA contribution 14 days of PTO 401(k) contribution Company Overview PrismHR is the largest payroll and HR software platform for professional employer organizations and administrative service organizations.
