Business Development Representative

Cova Software is a company in the cannabis industry, and they are seeking a Business Development Representative to manage inbound inquiries and execute high-volume outbound prospecting efforts. The role requires a motivated individual with proven sales experience, who can thrive in a high-activity environment and is passionate about building a career in business development.ResponsibilitiesExecute 50+ outbound cold calls daily to generate new business opportunities across expanding marketsManage both inbound and outbound lead flows, qualifying prospects and identifying high-quality opportunitiesPartner closely with Account Executives across North America to schedule meetings and advance dealsRe-engage existing prospects within the Cova database to drive pipeline growthConsistently nurture leads through structured follow-up and targeted outreach campaignsIdentify and escalate high-value opportunities to Territory and Strategic Account teamsAct as a knowledgeable and professional ambassador of Cova and its product offeringsMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in Salesforce CRMMeet and exceed activity and pipeline generation targets on a consistent basisSkills1-2+ years of dedicated BDR, or high-volume outbound sales experienceDemonstrated success and commitment to growing within a BDR or pipeline generation roleStrong cold calling skills with the ability to confidently engage prospects throughout the dayExcellent verbal communication and relationship-building abilitiesComfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment with high activity expectationsExperience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and familiarity with business software toolsHighly organized with strong multitasking and follow-up skillsAbility to adapt messaging across diverse customer segmentsPrevious experience or working knowledge of the cannabis industry, cannabis retail, or related technologiesExperience in SaaS or technology sales environmentsCompany OverviewCova Software has been the fastest-growing software solutions company in the history of legal cannabis and is now the #1 cannabis POS in North America.
